Siliguri, June 30, 2025 – The Annual School Personnel Meet of the Indian North Central (INC) Province concluded with resounding success at Don Bosco School, Siliguri, on June 29, 2025. The two-day event, held on June 28-29, brought together approximately 25 school personnel from across the province. The gathering served as a pivotal platform to strengthen the Salesian School Ministry, marked by the official release of the revised School Personnel Policy book by Fr. Joseph Pauria, Provincial of Kolkata Province, published by Salesian College Publications. This significant launch, accompanied by a session for policy clarifications, set an inspiring tone for the workshop.
The first day kicked off with Fr. Pauria addressing the gathering, delivering a heartfelt reflection on the importance of embodying the Salesian Charism in everyday life. He urged the personnel to serve as personal witnesses to this mission, fostering a deeper connection with their roles. Following the policy book release, the group engaged in dynamic discussions, breaking into smaller teams to explore and align with the updated guidelines. The presence of Fr. Siby Vadakel, Inspector of Schools, was acknowledged for his instrumental role in revising the policy book, adding credibility and depth to the proceedings.
Day two featured an invigorating session led by Shirish P. Sebastian, a globally renowned educator and wellness coach from Pune with over two decades of experience. Known for authoring AYURJYOTHI—the world’s first Ayurveda book in Braille—and inspiring millions across four continents, Sebastian animated the group on Transformational Leadership for effective school ministry. The personnel participated in a series of interactive group activities, shared innovative ideas, and collaborated on actionable strategies, making the session a standout highlight. Their active involvement underscored a collective commitment to enhancing educational leadership.
The meet concluded with a forward-looking discussion on future plans and programmes, wrapping up with a unifying prayer at 5:00 PM on June 29. Participants expressed gratitude for the enriching experience, leaving with renewed energy and practical insights to carry into the upcoming academic year. The event not only reinforced the Salesian mission but also highlighted the power of collaborative learning and leadership development.
